Firstly we'd like to thank Delegate Brenda Pogge and her husband for attending and supporting our GCA Auction. She currently serves in the Virginia House of Delegates as the chairman of the Education Committee.

National Day of Prayer

Thursday, May 5th at 9:30am

GCA will be having our chapel service this week on Thursday (instead of Wednesday) because we will be celebrating the National Day of Prayer. Guest Speakers will be joining us for chapel and then will be joining us afterward for a special time of prayer. Students may choose to wear red, white, and blue that day instead of their chapel day uniforms.

Realtor Tour and Luncheon

Wednesday, May 17th from 11:00am - 12:00pm

Do you know a family member or friend who is a realtor? Feel free to invite them to a tour and luncheon for realtors to be held at our school on Wednesday, May 17th, from 11:00 am until noon. We want to get the word out about why Greenwood Christian Academy was voted “Best Private School” for two years in a row. Honey Butters Kitchen will be catering this event, and the GCA students and staff will be sharing some great information about our special school.

Auction Success

A big “thank you” goes out to Brandie Weiler, our auction coordinator, and all the parents and staff members who gave countless hours to help with the auction. Our gymnasium was transformed into a beautiful setting for our guests to enjoy. As a result, our school was able to raise $7,800 and have a little bit of fun at the same time.

WE WISH TO THANK HONEY BUTTERS KITCHEN AND ANNA'S BRICK OVEN WHO PROVIDED FOOD AND BEVERAGE FOR OUR AUCTION.

Important Dates

May 4 - National Day of Prayer. Students may wear red, white, and blue.

May 5 - Dismissal at noon for Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. Child care provided.

May 17 - Realtor Luncheon and Tour, 11:00 am-Noon. Feel free to invite your friends and family who are realtors to discover why GCA was voted Best Private School two years in a row.

May 19 - Field Day, early dismissal at noon, child care provided.

May 25 - Preschool Program at Crosswalk King's Way campus, 11:00 am. If parents of preschoolers need childcare after the program, they will need to transport them back to GCA.

May 26 -  Elementary Program (K-6th), 11:00 am. The school will be closed after the program. No afternoon child care will be available.

May 30 - Summer Child Care begins.
