SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR SHIPYARD EMPLOYEES

Applications are now being accepted for the Huntington Ingalls Industries Scholarship Fund for the 2019-2020 school year. EARLY RELEASE/STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Wednesday, March 20th

Dismissal will be at noon on Wed., March 20th. During the afternoon, teachers will be working on certification and accreditation requirements. If you need childcare during the afternoon hours that day, then you will need to fill out and return the form with payment to Mrs. Sagman on or before Friday, March 15th. This will allow us to staff our childcare according to state mandated ratios.

SPRING BREAK

April 1st - 5th

The school and childcare will be closed on Monday, April 1st through Friday, April 5th.

FLOWERING THE CROSS CHAPEL

Wednesday, April 17th // 9:30 AM

Students will be bringing flowers to school for a special Easter Chapel. Family members are invited to join us at 9:30 am on April 17th.

SAVE THE DATE - GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

Thursday, April 18th // 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

GCA is excited to announce our fifth annual Grandparents’ Day on Thursday, April 18th, from 9:30-11:30 am. We set aside this day to honor the grandparents of our GCA students and to give them a special opportunity to spend time with their grandchild(ren) while at school. More information will be coming home soon.

SAVE THE DATE - GCA ROYALTY DASH

Saturday, April 27th // 10 AM - 1 PM

Your presence is requested at our first “Royalty Dash” run/walk on Saturday, April 27th , 10:00-1:00 pm. This will be a fun event for the ENTIRE FAMILY. After the run/walk, hot dogs and hamburgers will be will be served fresh off the grill. Children may dress as royalty (crowns & tiaras, etc.), and they will have a special visit from a royal princess.

April 10th - During Chapel we will recognize military children and their families. 9:30 am

April 12th - Wear Purple Day- to honor military children and their families
