GCA’s “Dancing Little Stars” Recital

The GCA Dancing Little Stars, directed by Virginia Greene and Mrs. Sarah, had their end of year recital on Saturday, June 10th, at Lee-Davis High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Our girls did a wonderful job. New students as young as age 3, may join the team when school begins in the fall. They will be rehearsing at GCA once a week after school.

Office and Child Care Closed

July 3rd – 7th

Each summer the floors get stripped and waxed as part of our scheduled facility maintenance. Because the fumes and chemicals are not good for the students and our staff, the school will remain closed that week to allow the floors to dry.

Uniform Exchange

A table has been set up in the foyer for families that would like to donate GCA uniform items that their child(ren) may have outgrown. Feel free to stop by and check out the table to see if any items may fit your child(ren). Last year some of the items on the table were brand new and had never been worn. Please remember that the jacket is optional this year, but the blue vest will be required as part of the Chapel day uniform for all students in grades K-7th.

Summer Open House for Prospective Families

Sunday, July 23rd, 2 pm – 4 pm

Prospective families enjoy hearing and interacting with current GCA families, parent to parent. If you are interested in being a tour guide for our Open House, please call our office at 757.345.0905, and leave a message for Mrs. Dayton.

Beautification Days

Saturdays, July 15th and 22nd, 9am – 4pm

Bill Bauer Schmidt and David Dayton have already started on the list of summer maintenance and repairs. Each year Bill very efficiently organizes the Beautification Days. All parents and staff are invited to join us for a fast-paced, fun day of fellowship as we work together to keep our wonderful facility in great shape. June 28th – GCA Facility Tour on Facebook “Live” at 1 pm. Visit our Facebook page at that time and be sure to share with your Facebook friends and family.

July 3rd-7th – Office and Child Care will be closed due to stripping and waxing of all floors.

July 15th – Summer Beautification Day – Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

July 23rd – Open House, 2 pm – 4 pm, for prospective families. Current GCA families will receive a $400 tuition discount if they recommend our school and a prospective family enrolls their child(ren).

August 25th – “Meet The Teacher” from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.
