The Winter Open House for prospective new families is Sunday, February 25th, from 2:00-4:00 pm. GCA parents may volunteer to give tours and to chat with prospective families from a “parent to parent” perspective. If you would like to volunteer to be a host or tour guide, please contact marilynd@gcaroyals.org. Marketing research indicates that the most effective advertising comes from personal referrals. Please feel free to invite guests to our Open House or to invite them to come by our school for a tour.
This year we are going to take our auction to the warmth of a tropical paradise. So grab your flip-flops, sunglasses, and Hawaiian shirts. We will be dancing the night away with a DJ who used to work at Disney World. The children will be having a fun-filled night of games during the silent and live auction. We are currently soliciting for auction donations, so if you know someone that would like to donate an item or help sponsor the auction, please call 757-345-0905 and ask for Alice.
We are so excited about our upcoming Gala at Colonial Heritage Club on April 28th, starting at 6:00 pm. Our MC for the evening will be Cheryl Brehm, Mrs. Tennessee 2015. The Gala will feature fine dining and dancing to the band “Good Shot Judy.” More exciting news to come soon.
Meet next year's teacher, learn about next year's curriculum, and observe the classroom with your child. If you re-register on that date, you will receive the Moving Up Day discount.
The meeting will focus on keeping our parents up to date on some new creative ways to finance private school tuition. Our school wanted to be one of the first to announce these new options to our parents. The first guest speaker will be sharing about the new federal income tax cut enacted on Dec. 22nd regarding the 529 tax free savings plan for parents of students in private schools in grades K-12. The second speaker will be sharing about the new scholarship program in Virginia. We are proud to announce that GCA has just been approved as a school that meets the rigorous standards and test scores to be able to participate in this new program. Child care will be provided for children 2yrs old-7th grade. You will not want to miss this very informative meeting.
