CHAPEL TO HONOR MILITARY CHILDREN

April is the Month of the Military Child and we want to take the opportunity to honor our military- connected students at a special Chapel on Wednesday, April 10th, 9:30 am. We know that life throws many different and difficult challenges at the families who so faithfully serve our country and we to want to acknowledge that fact. If you, as parent or guardian, are an active-duty, retired, separated or reserve member of our Armed Forces, please let us know by returning this note by Tuesday, April 9th, indicating your service and which branch you serve/ have served.

WEAR PURPLE DAY

Show your support for the annual “Purple Up for Military Kids” celebration by wearing purple on Friday, April 12th.‍‍

FLOWERING THE CROSS CHAPEL

Wednesday, April 17th // 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM

Each year our school celebrates the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord by hosting a “Flowering of the Cross” ceremony. Students are invited to bring a flower to school that day to place it on a special cross.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

Thursday, April 18th from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

GCA is excited to announce that our fifth annual Grandparents’ Day will be on Thursday, April 18th, from 9:30-11:30 am. We set aside this day to honor the grandparents of our GCA students and to give them a special opportunity to spend time with their grandchild(ren) while at school. Grandparents’ Day registration forms are due on or before Thur., April 11th .

ROYALTY DASH RUN/WALK FUNDRAISER

Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

The GCA “Royalty Dash” Run/Walk will be a family event & fun for all ages. The events will include a 3K Run/Walk, a “Fun Run” for the kids, a “Daddy Dash” for the dads, and a “Stroller Roller” for the moms. Robert, a radio announcer from WMBG, will be our DJ for this event. A Bounce House Castle and a large playground nearby will provide entertainment for the kids. Participants (adults and kids) are encouraged to don their best “royal” outfits. The students will be creating crowns in their Art classes at school. An email with more information will be forthcoming soon.
