ACSI Raise Up! Giving Day

Tuesday, September 26th

GCA has already received 2 donations for the nationwide Raise UP Giving Day on Tuesday, September 26th--a targeted 24-hour period during which our school and ACSI will be raising funds together. Five percent of the funds will go towards the ACSI Global Fund which serves Christian schools in over 100 countries. It is a “crowdfunding” online giving opportunity which will help GCA to continue to offer a quality educational program at a more affordable cost to families. Already, an anonymous donor has specified a $3000 matching challenge. You may donate using the following link: www.raiseupschool.org/greenwoodchristianacademy. This link is now “live” and all donations will receive a tax receipt via email.

Pastor Appreciation Brunch

Wednesday, October 11th

GCA has planned a special brunch and Chapel to show appreciation to the pastors and church leaders in our area. Feel free to invite your pastors and church leaders. Early Dismissal

Wednesday, September 27th

A table has been set up in the foyer for families that would like to donate GCA uniform items that their child(ren) may have outgrown. Feel free to stop by and check out the table to see if any items may fit your child(ren). Last year some of the items on the table were brand new and had never been worn. Please remember that the jacket is optional this year, but the blue vest will be required as part of the Chapel day uniform for all students in grades K-7th.

Important Dates

September 26th – Raise Up! Giving Day, midnight to midnight, www.raiseupschool.org/greenwoodchristianacademy

September 27th – Early dismissal at noon, teacher inservice in the afternoon, childcare will be provided

September 29th – School Colors Day - Students may show school spirit by wearing clothing that is our school colors: green, blue, white, and yellow. K-7th students are not required to wear uniforms on that day.

October 3rd – Dancing Little Stars begins, Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 pm, starting at 3 yrs. old, if interested contact 804-873-1936

October 4th – PICTURE DAY for K-7th and Preschool

October 5th – PICTURE DAY for Preschool, national “Bring Your Bible to School Day”

October 6th – Kindergarten and 4th-7th Field Trip, College Farm and Chippokes State Park

October 11th – Pastors' Appreciation Chapel and Brunch, 9:30-10:30 am
